Every morning and every evening, we spend a few minutes caring for our skin. We cleanse it and apply serum, moisturiser or other favourite products. Yet we often forget one detail that’s part of our daily routine: the towel we use to dry our face.
It’s the towel that comes into direct contact with our skin every day. And because facial skin can be more sensitive than the skin on other parts of the body, it matters not only what we use to cleanse it, but also how and what we use to dry it.
At Pamukia, we believe quality care starts with simple everyday habits. That’s why we’ve focused on a detail that deserves more attention: a separate face towel made from organic cotton.
Why use a separate face towel?
Using one towel for your whole body may be convenient, but for everyday hygiene, it makes sense to have a towel reserved exclusively for your face.
Cosmetic residue, sebum, dead skin cells and microorganisms can build up on a towel that is used repeatedly. And if it stays damp for a long time, it creates more favourable conditions for them to multiply.
A separate face towel helps keep skincare apart from your other hygiene routines and makes it easier to change to a clean one regularly.
What does this mean in practice?
-
Use your own clean towel for your face.
-
After washing, gently pat your skin dry with the towel rather than rubbing vigorously.
-
After use, let the towel dry thoroughly.
-
Change and wash your towel regularly, following the manufacturer’s instructions.
-
If you have sensitive or problem-prone skin, pay special attention to keeping your towel clean.
It’s not a complicated change. It’s a small habit that’s easy to add to your morning and evening routine.
Organic cotton, right against your skin
When choosing a face towel, it’s not just its size or colour that matters. The material that touches your skin is important too.
At Pamukia, we work with high-quality 100% organic cotton. Our towels from the Essence collection have a weight of 650 g/m², giving them a substantial, soft and luxurious feel.
Organic cotton is an appealing choice for anyone who thinks not only about comfort, but also about the origins of the materials they use every day.
What does GOTS certification mean?
GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) is an international standard for textiles made from organic fibres. It focuses on environmental and social criteria throughout the entire processing chain, from raw material processing to the manufacture and labelling of finished textile products.
This certification gives customers greater transparency about the origin and processing of textiles.
For us at Pamukia, it’s important that quality is about more than just how something feels to the touch. It also means taking a responsible approach to materials and manufacturing.
Of course, organic cotton alone doesn’t guarantee that a product will suit everyone with sensitive skin. Washing methods, the detergents used and how often the towel is changed also matter.
How often should you change your face towel?
We generally use a face towel in the morning and evening, so it’s worth having several at home.
In general, it’s a good idea to change your face towel every one to two days, or more often as needed. If it’s damp, dirty, smells unpleasant or you’re experiencing skin problems, change it sooner.
Washing it properly is important too. Follow the care label, use an appropriate amount of detergent and avoid fabric softener, which can reduce the absorbency of cotton fibres.
This is where having a set of several towels comes in handy: you’ll always have a clean one ready while the used towel is washed and left to dry thoroughly.
Seven face towels. More comfort every day.
Introducing a new Pamukia product: a set of 7 face towels at a special price of CZK 745.
Why seven? Because good skincare doesn’t have to be complicated. When you have enough clean towels on hand, it’s easier to change them regularly and build a hygienic habit that lasts.
Choose a colour to suit your style
Every bathroom is different. Some people love crisp white, while others prefer natural beige tones, soft grey or bolder colours.
That’s why you can choose your preferred colour for our new set and match the towels to your bathroom and personal style.
Seven individual towels help you create a simple everyday care routine. Keep one in the bathroom, store the others clean in a cupboard, and wash and thoroughly dry the used ones in the meantime.

How to care for your face towels so they last
Proper care is simple and helps preserve the pleasant qualities of cotton fibres.
-
Wash according to the care label. For our towels, we recommend a regular wash at 40°C.
-
Don’t use fabric softener, as it can reduce absorbency.
-
After use, hang your towels up and let them dry thoroughly.
-
Don’t overload the washing machine, so the textiles can be washed and rinsed properly.
-
Store towels only once they’re completely dry.
Small everyday habits help keep your towels fresh and pleasant to use every time.
Skincare starts with the little details too
Our skin deserves attention not only when choosing skincare products, but also in the everyday activities we often do automatically.
A separate face towel, regular changes and a quality material are simple steps that can take your routine a little further.
